New here! And claiming. [Aug. 29th, 2009|09:16 am]
Claim An Opera, Operetta or Musical!

Okay, so pretty much all the claims I'm going to make have been claimed once already, so current owners of the ff: can we share? :D

Les Misérables,, (Claude-Michel Schönberg) - already claimed by tete_du_fromage

La Fille du Régiment, (Gaetano Donizetti) - already claimed by sporkgoddess

Madame Butterfly, (Giacomo Puccini) - already claimed by caitsings

I just saw La Fille in Vienna over the summer, and it was phenomenal! The singing was fantastic, especially as the soprano was Vienna's rising star in the Opera scene, and the tenor executed Pour Mon Âme perfectly, hitting the high notes and all. Also, they managed to make it hilarious, even if all the spoken dialogues were in German (therefore, I didn't understand them, though I do understand French).

I also saw Les Miz for the third time over the summer in West End and I swear, no matter how much times I've watch it, I still cry buckets.

And I'm playing the lead role in Madame Butterfly for this music festival over at my country! I've absolutely fallen in love with the arias and the whole musical score.

Hi and welcome to the community! :-) It's nice to meet you! :-)
I'm gonna wait for a couple of days and see if the 'original owners' of the operas/musical you'd like respond, if they haven't by that time, I'll assume they'll be okay with sharing and I'll add your claims then. :-)

Edit: I wanted to add, I love Madame Butterfly, it's such a beautiful opera :-)
How exciting that you'll be playing the lead role! :-)

Indeed! I'm more excited than nervous.
